Live Events

“My mission is to uplift, inspire and empower people to awaken more fully, reconnect with Mother Earth and walk in balance with All That Is.”

LinDel Sandlin

For thousands of years, shamans have used a practice called shamanic journeying to reconnect with inner wisdom and access deeper levels of consciousness. Through simple techniques of sound, breath, intention, and guided inner exploration, they step beyond ordinary awareness into a timeless space where healing, insight and clarity become available.

Through the use of rhythmic drumming, or rattling, shamans can also guide others into the inner garden of their heart and even journey into cosmic realms of higher consciousness. Modern studies have measured that rhythmic drumming at 4 beats per second (4-8hz) entrains the human brain to enter a theta wave state, a deeply relaxing, dream-like state that boosts creativity and reduces anxiety.

LinDel guides these live group journeying events:

Sacred Cacao and Drum Circle

Join us for a shamanic cacao celebration with a participatory drum circle! In this heart-opening event, we will be sipping organic, 100% cacao – the grandmother of chocolate. Considered a sacred medicine by the Maya, the ceremonial-grade cacao we drink is sourced directly from traditional farmers in Guatemala. Cacao contains about 1/10th the amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee; it also naturally contains tryptophan and magnesium, which calm the body and mind. You will leave feeling uplifted and more aware, yet, relaxed and more grounded.

While we're sipping our hot cacao (sweetened with honey if you wish), LinDel will share some of the history of cacao and its health benefits and will give you a brief intro to the sacred Mayan Day "calendar". To help you feel the effects of the cacao more deeply, we will also be doing a mix of group drumming and simple tai chi movements. Then you will come into stillness, either seated or lying on a yoga mat, while LinDel guides you on a shamanic drumming journey into your "inner garden" and the sacred space of your own precious Heart.

See Schedule Below…

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Although cacao contains only 1/10th the caffeine as coffee, it may not be appropriate for someone taking blood pressure medication. For questions whether cacao is right for you, please contact LinDel.

LinDel Sandlin received the bulk of her training in sacred cacao - online and in-person - with The Mayan Wisdom Project. Check them out at: https://www.themayanwisdomproject.com

Full Moon Yoga and Shamanic Sound Healing events

From the moment you walk into the welcoming space and see the altar set up with candles and crystals, you know you're in for something more than a yoga class and more than a chakra balancing sound bath. Combining the two modalities deepens the overall experience, bringing your body-heart-mind-spirit into alignment.

Native American tribes tracked time by the phases of the moon and named them according to what was happening in nature around them. For instance, several tribes called "January" the Wolf Moon; for the Cree nation, the Frog Moon was what we now call "April"; or the Beaver moon occurred in "November".  So at each month's full moon event, we will contemplate how the energies of that month's spirit animal or plant being can help us in our own lives. You are further invited to release what is no longer need and to set personal intentions for the healing and guidance you seek.

These events are co-facilitated by a highly experienced yoga teacher who will guide you through gentle floor poses to help release tightness in your physical body. At the same time, LinDel will come around to each person with chakra tuning forks and Tibetan singing bowls. Their vibrational healing sounds help further release stuck or stagnant energy in your mental, emotional and energy bodies. (Poses can also be modified to chair yoga if that's better for you.)

As you melt into the final savasana pose, LinDel will lead the group through a shamanic drumming journey to help you each connect with Grandmother Moon, with Mother Earth and more deeply within.

Schedule for LIVE EVENTS

2026 Schedule of Full Moon Yoga & Sound events:

Full Flower Moon

Friday, May 1  @ The Playful Soul

Saturday, May 2  @ Irvington Wellness Center

The fifth moon of Creation is called Flower Moon by the Ojibwe people for this is the time when plants display their Spirit sides for all the world to see. Flowers, which are abundant in May, aren’t just Nature’s way of adding beauty to life - they hold spiritual energy that cleanses, uplifts and heals our human mind, body & spirit. This life giving energy is one of the most powerful healing medicines on Mother Earth.

Flowers' impermanence also teaches us to let go of attachments and appreciate the "Beauty of Now". During the Flower Moon, we are encouraged to explore our Spiritual essence and blossom into the best version of ourselves.

Full Blue Moon

Saturday, May 30  @ The Playful Soul

Sunday, May 31  @ Irvington Wellness Center

This modern name is applied to the second full moon within the same month. A “Blue Moon” occurs only about every 2.5 years. If you could go back in time 2½ years ago, what would you tell your past self? If we could go back two Blue Moons ago -- 5 years, it would be during COVID! What advice would you give yourself about getting through those wild days? Or imagine you could visit your future self in 2½ years? Or 5? What perspective might your future self offer you on today's nutty times?

Join us at a rare Full Blue Moon Yoga & Shamanic Sound Healing event to relax your body, calm your logical mind and open your imaginative heart. The invitation is to time travel to past and future moons to help better inform our present perspectives.

Full Strawberry Moon

Sunday, June 28  @ Irvington Wellness Center

Monday, June 29  @ The Playful Soul

The strawberry is the first berry to ripen. Its sweetness was considered good medicine for the heart by many indigenous peoples in the US and Canada. Traditionally, Ojibwe communities celebrated the Strawberry Moon cycle with annual feasts welcoming everyone home, regardless of any previous disputes; old grudges from the past year were forgiven.

Here at the longest days of the year, let us step fully into the light, let go of judgment and reconcile our differences with friends and family … and especially within our own heart.  Besides forgiveness, it is also part of “strawberry medicine” to savor the small, sweet things that make life more enjoyable.

Full Buck Moon

Thursday, July 30  @ The Playful Soul

Friday, July 31  @ Irvington Wellness Center

In July, male deer are rapidly growing new antlers so during this time, we celebrate the regenerative power of the Full Buck Moon and the Divine Masculine. Bucks, who instinctively know when to stand their ground or when to swiftly and gracefully leap out of difficult situations, are associated with virility, strength and the wild forest. Their antlers grow behind the eyes, so deeper perception is also part of deer medicine.

We are currently in the Mayan solar year of "1 Deer"; the number 1 represents new beginnings. Mayans consider the deer especially sacred because its 4 legs represent the Four Directions and the balance of their elements – Fire, Earth, Air and Water. The deer’s thin, yet powerful, legs also represent the duality of Life and the ability to use internal strength to propel us forward despite our vulnerability.

What Buck medicine do you need at this time? Vision? Vitality? Regeneration? Balance with Nature's elements? Reconnection with your inner Divine Masculine? Join us in community to safely explore these powerful energies.

Full Green Corn Moon

Friday, August 28  @ The Playful Soul

Saturday, August 29  @ Irvington Wellness Center

Traditionally in late August/early September, the Cherokee and many other tribes on Turtle Island celebrated the Green Corn Moon to honor the very first harvest of this life-sustaining gift from Mother Earth. The Mayans say "we are the People of Corn”, for the creators formed human beings out of ground corn in its four main colors – Yellow, White, Red & Black.

One of the sacred “Three Sisters” of many tribes throughout this entire hemisphere, corn, squash, and beans were traditionally planted together in a way that benefited each other and returned nutrients to the soil. The gifts these plants offer is still the core of the people’s nourishment. Consider what soul nourishment is ripening in your life. What creative projects or personal improvements are you beginning to reap on your soul's journey that can also benefit your community?

Full Harvest Moon

Friday, September 25  @ The Playful Soul

Saturday, September 26  @ Irvington Wellness Center

The full moon closest to the Fall Equinox is known by native cultures all over the northern hemisphere as the Harvest Moon. For several evenings around this time, the bright full moon rises soon after sunset giving farmers extra light to harvest their summer-grown crops. What are you harvesting in the Garden of your Life?

Just as the cornstalk’s supportive structure is not needed after harvest, consider what no longer serves you and let it go in peace. Releasing, too, the seeds/goals that did not come to fruition this season so you can recycle that energy for your next growth cycle.

Full Hunter's Moon

Sunday, October 25  @ Irvington Wellness Center

Monday, October 26  @ The Playful Soul

This October, we celebrate the Full Hunter’s Moon. This is the time of year when animals small and large hunt for any food remaining after harvest so they can get through winter on their stored fat. Today, we humans just go to grocery stores but we still stock up on supplies so we don’t have to go out during winter storms.

What is your Soul hunting for? Energetically and emotionally, what nourishment do you need at this time? Are there comforting items or activities you instinctively want to gather around you now to support you during the hectic holiday season that is fast approaching?

Times for all events are 6:30-8:30pm. Here again, is how to register:

“Dear LinDel, I want you to know how much I've changed since my 1st class because of you as I'm finding more peace and balance in my life.  Even when my RA is acting up, I actually take time to thank my body for working hard in battle and this was a huge turning point for me as I was very angry for months until I met you.

When dealing with the physical pain, it is easy compared to the mental hurdles that have come my way and you are the reason that I feel I can handle this disorder mentally now.  Maybe that is why I'm so focused in class; I am re-directing my energy into more positive chi. Please keep doing what you do as you are my weekly shining light and I enjoy learning from you!” ~ Angie C.
